If confirmed, this would mark Suriya’s return to the cop avatar after his iconic Singam franchise, a look that remains hugely popular among fans.

Adding to the excitement, the promo shoot for #Suriya47 begins today in Kerala, with reports suggesting that Suriya will be presented as a stylish and intense “badass” cop. An official promo along with the title announcement is expected to be released soon.

Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Suriya 47 was officially launched with a pooja ceremony in Chennai on December 7, 2025. The film stars Nazriya Nazim, Naslen, and Anandraj, with Sushin Shyam composing the music. The launch event was attended by Jyotika, Karthi, and the teams from 2D Entertainment and Dream Warrior Pictures. The film is produced by Zhagaram Studios, with Jyotika serving as producer.
