The makers of Madharaasi, starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, announced earlier in the day that an extended glimpse of their action film will be showcased exclusively in theatres alongside the screenings of Coolie from August 14, 2025.
Coolie comes marking Rajinikanth's 50 years in Tamil cinema, and as a tribute to the golden jubilee, Sivakarthikeyan took to his official X handle to write a heartfelt post. The actor wrote:
"Thalaivaaa,
I grew up watching you, mimicked you, and walked in your footsteps - to be in the same field as you is my greatest fortune.
Thank you for inspiring me, and congratulations on your 50 years of magnanimous legacy 🙏🙏
#Coolie will be yet another diamond in your crown 💥💥
Love you now, forever, and beyond ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Best wishes to the entire team for a massive success 👍👍"
While Coolie is a Sun Pictures production written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Madharaasi is produced by Sri Laskshmi Movies. Both films have music by composer Anirudh Ravichander.
